I am Mark H. Brathwaite, the son Yvonne Brathwaite and the late Clifford H. Brathwaite. I was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados. I have three sisters and two brothers. At the tender age of eleven that I was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist church family.
I felt the call of God on my life as a child and kept my goal in view and when the opportunity presented itself, I matriculated at Caribbean Union College now University of the Southern Caribbean, in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago from 1984 to 1988. My thirst for knowledge led me to further pursue a Master of Arts Degree in Religion completing the program in 1998, from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan and I am now in the process of completing my Ph.D. in Business Administration at Montemorelos University in Mexico. Outside to work and study I enjoy making friends, baking, travelling, developing my computer skills.
On August 18, 1991, I married the former M. Cecelia Daniel, a teacher from the Island nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. She served as the Children’s Ministries Director for the East Caribbean Conference for several years before migrating to U.S.A. She enjoys floral arranging, working with children, planning Sabbath School and A.Y programs and entertaining and cooking. I am Mark H. Brathwaite, the son Yvonne Brathwaite and the late Clifford H. Philosophy
I believe we are all created by God, made in His image, therefore I deal with everyone I meet against that backdrop as one of God’s children.
Mission
To help others through a life of service and friendship while developing my potential to be the best version of myself.
Vision
To develop myself through Christian education to be an all-round Minister of the Gospel and use my skills to benefit others and prepare them for the life to come.
Personal Reflection
As I reflect on my PhD studies, I am happy that I was given the opportunity to engage with some of the finest minds of my church organization. I am delighted to have continued my Christian education at Montemorelos University; I am a better individual mentally and socially and spiritually.
